45F Mt Fuji (45th floor Mount Fuji) is a moving-image and sound installation piece based on the last image of the salaryman project series: the photograph of a man observing Mount Fuji from the observatory deck of the Tokyo City Hall. Through a play of symmetry, superposition, and color, the work transforms the sacred mountain captured by the camera into a representation that flirts with pictorial traditions. 45F Mt Fuji premiered during the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Vision in Tokyo in 2014.
